ABOUT

After graduating with a psych degree, I moved to Toronto having no clue what I wanted to do. I had a better understanding of humans I guess. So I threw a dart at advertising.

For my first five years I was an account exec. I wore my fancy account person outfits to meetings at Bates Canada, Cossette and Maclaren McCann - building a foundation of business, strategy and management acumen.

But I always longed for the creative side of the business. And as scary as it seemed to come up with ideas on demand and thread the needle of business, humanity and art, I had it in my head that I was a creator. A maker of things.

So I started again. At the beginning.

Writing for smaller clients at first. A little spec. Some B-to-B.

A freelance gig in Greece. I found it rewarding but hard. You have to dig deep to come up with good ideas. But my strategic foundation helped and eventually, I found my voice.

I've worked on hundreds of projects big and small. finding creative solutions grounded in strategy and hugged with humanity.

Still living in Toronto, I'm a freelance writer, a professional voice over artist and a proud dad.

So, yeah, turns out I am a maker of things.
