Making Waves at Queen's Quay

In the summer of 2015, after years of construction, Queen’s Quay was finally ready to re-open in full renovated glory. We were tasked with helping to celebrate this occasion and to get people informed and excited. So we decided to make some waves. Big ones.

As a grand opening event, we needed something big. So we created a 650m long wave that was unfurled along the length of the

Queen's Quay.  This wasn't just a ribbon cutting. It was a giant wave (cutting).

The cool part was that everyone, volunteers and walk-up public, needed to help to make it work.

Turn-out and participation was overwhelming. The event managed some good pick-up on social and main stream news.
